I am interested in hearing your story. My approach is collaborative, empathetic and compassionate. I hope to help you navigate your experiences, work towards accomplishing your goals, and develop self-awareness, and healthy coping strategies that work for you. 


I am interested in working with adults and young adults struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, perfectionism, depression and post-secondary school or work related stress.


My background in health and counselling psychology provides me with the knowledge and understanding about how biological, psychological and social factors can impact one’s ability to cope with their stress in a healthy or unhealthy manner.


I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment. Life is a journey and sometimes we encounter obstacles along the way. You are not alone. If you are struggling, please contact me. I look forward to hearing your story.

I am a RN Psychotherapist and Health Consultant. I graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Nursing and I am registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.


My goal is to address “whole person” health and get to the root cause(s) of suffering. Things like our diet, sleep and/or thoughts may all be contributing to our mental health state. Our thinking patterns (stories) have tremendous power over how we live our lives. They can be the difference between living a meaningful and fulfilling life or living a depressing life. Let me help you re-write these stories to regain your happiness and sense of wellbeing. 


My approach to therapy is driven by compassion and empathy where we will work collaboratively on your goals. My approach is integrative and one that draws on various therapies to give you the tools you need to start dealing with what has brought you my way. You will be left with a vast tool box for the future to tackle obstacles that may arise.

Hello!  My name is Emily, and I will be joining Janine Ruddy’s online psychotherapy practice in May 2021 as a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) student to finish my degree. In these uncertain times, it is helpful to connect with a counsellor to explore how you have been impacted by the pandemic, and how you may navigate these, and the everyday stressors, relationships, expectations, and obligations, that may contribute to feeling overwhelmed or not in control. Sometimes the strategies that have worked for us in the past are no longer helpful and can even make circumstances worse; this is normal and is often improved when we develop self-compassion and understanding for ourselves. I look forward to working together to discuss your current situation and the strategies you are using, to identify what is working for you, and what alternatives may be available to reach your goals and improve your overall wellbeing.


I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP). I have experience working with youths, young adults, and their families to improve their satisfaction within their lives and interpersonal relationships. My approach is informed by training in several therapeutic models including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Counselling, and Motivational Interviewing.
