Individual Psychotherapy

This is an opportunity for us to meet one on one. My role as a psychotherapist is to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment. This is where we work together by honestly examining your emotions and your behaviours to see what’s working for you and what isn’t.

Intern Psychotherapy

Our student interns are completing their practicum hours as a part of their graduate psychotherapy program and are directly supervised by Janine Ruddy.

Clinical Consultation and Supervision

I offer supervision to mental health practitioners, as well as student therapists who may require or would like clinical supervision.  Please reach out if:

  • You are a student doing a practicum and require a supervisor.

  • You are obtaining supervision hours that are required for membership to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

  • You are a clinician seeking support, a fresh perspective, or are looking to advance their skills.

Currently supervision is only offered on an ongoing one-on-one basis. Group supervision can be accommodated upon request.  If you are interested in seeing if we would be a good fit, please contact me.

Be Brave

My Approach

Our mental health can be compared to the house that we live in. And this house is built of six key components:

  1. Sleep

  2. Exercise

  3. Nutrition

  4. Relationships

  5. Career

  6. Meaning

When these components are sturdily in place, we thrive. We feel satisfied, safe, and in control. But when they are not in place, our "mental health house" becomes run down and dilapidated, and it’s impossible to feel comfortable and happy. My goal is to help you get your “house” in order using psychotherapy and personal development. I want to help you renovate your mental health so that you feel good about yourself and your life.

I want to help you feel at home in your own mind.

Your circumstances do not have to define your present or your future. Sometimes resiliency and grit needs to be found or created. I believe that you have the power within yourself to become a warrior and to make meaningful changes in your life.

My vision is to help you find you power, act courageously in the face of fear, and create a meaningful life through self-mastery, self-compassion, and self-care.

I have training in a number of evidence-based clinical approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Counselling, Mindfulness, and Existential techniques. My therapeutic model is integrative and flexible, meaning that I draw on a number of modalities depending on what you need.
